One-Step Midstream hCG Pregnancy Test

INTRODUCTION

One-Step Midstream Style HCG Urine Pregnancy Test is a test kit for the determination of hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) in urine specimens. This test kit is used to obtain a visual, qualitative result for early detection of pregnancy.

TEST PROCEDURE

1. To begin testing, open the sealed pouch by tearing along the notch. Remove the test from the pouch.

2. Hold the round end of cover with one hand. Use the other hand to pull out the test device and expose the absorbent.

3. Point the absorbent tip downward; place the absorbent tip in urine stream for at least 10 seconds to be thourghly wet. Otherwise, you can collect your urine into a clean cup and dip half of the absorbent pad into the urine for at least 10 seconds.

4. Do Not urinate past the arrow.

5. Re-cap the device and wait for colored bands to appear. Depending on the concentration of hCG in the test specimen, positive results may be observed in as short as 40 seconds. However, to confirm negative results, the complete reaction time (5 minutes) is required.
Do not read results after 10 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

Positive: Distinct color lines appear on the control and test regions. Both test line and control line indicate that you are pregnant. Color intensity of the test lines may vary. A faint color line in the control region within the specified time frame indicates a pregnancy. Different stages of pregnancy have different concentrations of hCG. A grey shadowy line that could show up around the 10 minute time limit could be an evaporation line and should not be considered a positive!

Negative: Only one color line appears on the control regions. No apparent line on the test region. There is no pregnancy.

Invalid: No control line appears.

STORAGE AND STABILITY

The test kits can be stored at room temperature (18 to 30C) in the sealed pouch to the date of expiration. The test kits should be kept away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.

PRECAUTION

1. For in vitro diagnostic use only. (This test should only be used to diagnose pregnancy and not other conditions that could cause an elevated level of hCG.)
2. Do not use test kit beyond expiration date.
3. The test device can not be reused.
